I'm having a slipping noise in both my bikes in the biggest chainring, both chains are ok, I think we ended up indexing the shifting and looking at the b limit after my last few rides.

The problem I had was that my freehub body's bearings were worn. It had a little play in it making my cassette wobbly and miss-shift constantly.

If you just swapped the labels between them, nobody would know the difference.

Jockey wheels should be inlined? I dont think mine are inlined at all.

hope you never reach in UK to the point we have here in south america, where is really common to get killed when going to buy a car, motorbike, bike, whatever. Here, FB Marketplace is full of scammers, killers and whatever the worst there is, awaiting for some "customer" to fall in their trap. Past week a police student got shot when helping a friend to get his motorbike. Thieves then approached in a car and started shooting.

Interesting bit about the small front mudguards on a MTB.. I came via here cos I'm actually looking for mudguards for my Gravel bike that don't look horrible. I have previously not used them for that reason.. But i had no such qualms about my Downhill MTB. I've had a small front guard for ages & they make a huge difference. Unlike all other style guards, they can actually add style to a bike too. Lots of them have different graphics & designs. My Downhill MTB looks better with it on than off. I have one on the rear too & again, for such a small piece of plastic, it makes a huge difference.. So I'm totally sold on guards for MTBs. But i hate the look of seat post mounted guards, so i only use mine when i have to.. Hence why I'm doing research on what's out there..

I'm an old traditionalist, so I still have slightly fuzzy arms even if I mow my legs twice a week. I had to review though, and I found a nice picture of Gilbert Duclos-Lassalle (Team Z) riding in the '92 Paris-Roubaix and sporting smooth legs but noticeably furry arms.

Another silly reason: it's not nice to get ones legs hair messed up with rim cement.

This material cannot be recycled and they are not durable, production is pain in the @$$ for employees and for environment, think twice before you buy, weight and speed of your bike can be compensated in a different way

I can use my carbon fiber wheels during California winter!

I'm going to assume that 'best bikes' refers to superior manufacturing (e.g.; tightest tolerances, fewest voids, strictest quality control, etc,) from companies that have a focus on the longevity of their products. I think the best bikes in the world are as follows, and I've included where they're made, because mostly they're not made in Asia: - Time Alpe D'Huez (France) - Look 795 Blade RS (Tunisia) - Argon 18 Sum Pro (Taiwan) - Bianchi Oltre Pro (Taiwan) - Colnago C68 (Italy) - Enve Melee (USA) The worst made bikes that have been or currently are in the pro peleton are also some of the fastest: - Cervelo S5 - Lapierre Xelius - Canyon Aeroad I think most of bikes ridden by pros are in the middle. Brands ranging from Pinarello to Specialized are decently well made and those companies are large and wealthy enough to support the teams. I ride a Trek Emonda ALR, because the quality is okay, especially considering what it cost.

Got disc for my long rides and off roads. Got rim brakes for daily commute, rain or shine, climb and decent.

Great video! I'm 54 and ride 10 miles/day. My fitness has improved to 3.30 minutes for 1 mile at about 18 mph. Love riding but hate the aging process.

They managed to get a good price. the issue i see is the clearance between pedal and frame. Such technology shouldnt be limited by how narrow is the distance between frame and pedal. they have to find a way so everyone can buy their product. on a canyon ultimate 2024 model, its simply too tight.

On the looks department, I'd say Cervelo takes the cake. Muy guapa! I hope I win the lottery and but one someday. 😅

Nothing (maybe apart from a sonic cleaner) beats a simple shake in a bottle with a brake cleaner. For the cassette just use a paint brush. It's enough to have the teeth and cavities between clean. No need to floss for a perfect clean.

The top tube storage is not a plus in my mind. It seems an asinine attempt to impress. The rest of the bike looks great.

My local shop has this new bike. sl5 with mechanical 105. And it looks just like this bike. Different rims, tho. It's only $3499.00 usd. It doesn't say madone or emonda it just has two circles instead of the name.

Many years ago Mavic produced Open Pro ceramic rims, the best rims I ever had. Nowadays it seems like it’s only DT Swiss who make ceramic coated rim wheels for rim brakes but unfortunately DT Swiss don’t sell only the ceramic rim so when it’s warned out it can’t be replaced. Any other brand who have coated rim brake surface on the rims ?

12 speed fanatic here. I can't live without 12 speed.

I truly hate to mention this but, this bike looks very simular to my open mold endurance frame from velobuild. I had built a year and a half ago. Using a full mecanical 105 group set and used Ican wheels and other parts . It cost me $2000. For everything. Light, fast, great handling, and very comfortable. What more do you want.

I could not care less about going fast. Never did. Not even when I was 50 years younger.
